Welcome to Black Spear Studios

Today marks the inception of the Black Spear Studios official website! To those reading, my name is Charles and I have been putting in a lot of work towards getting to this point, and I am excited to see where it goes from here!

I have been working on the concept for Phantom Cell for quite some time, but it was around October 2019 that I sat down and started writing out all of the rules. Since then we have been playtesting with friends and constantly refining and redesigning. With the fourth draft just about done, I’ve decided to start marketing the game because I am pretty pleased with how things are turning out. As of right now, we’re just waiting on the logos to be finished and to get some artwork done to start turning it into an actual rulebook.

We had the the rules available for free on our Instagram Page, but we have since made it only available to our Patreon supporters. Since the game does not currently have a model line, we encourage people who are interested in playing to start creating their own Syndicate using models from their favorite miniature companies! In addition, we are currently supporting another company called Unit9 and have a license to sell their models here on our webstore! If you have a 3D printer, I HIGHLY recommend subscribing to Unit9. Their models are pretty amazing and they have their own game that they have produced!

For now, our Discord server is only available to Patrons, but we will eventually make room for people just to show off their Syndicates and experiences playing Phantom Cell! Until then, follow us on Instagram to stay updated and check back here for any big updates!
